Top 5 Movie Cars

Cars in movies are not just props that complement the characters. They can emphasis a characters personality, influence the plot and change the course of the story.

We have collected what we believe to be the top most recognisable film cars;

5. Bumblebee (Transformers Movie)
The car is literally the character and has greatly influenced not only a highly successful film franchise but also animations. It was only in the live action adaptation that Bumblebee was revealed to be a 1976, 5th Generation Camaro.

4. 2003 Mini Cooper S (The Italian Job)
The remake of a well known heist film is practically a 90-minute advertisement for the 2003 Mini Cooper S. Although the characters in the film are still impressive, the Mini-Cooper S practically stole the show in the 2nd half of the film.

3. Aston Martin Vanquish (Die Another Day)
Aston Martin will always be a car associated with James Bond. In “Die Another Day” the Bond Vehicle became more than just a vehicle for the British spy but his greatest weapon as the Vanquish could actually make itself invisible in an instant.

2. The Beetle (Herbie Movie Franchise and Television series)
The car is the main character of the television series and movie franchise. It’s a classic Volkswagen vehicle with number 53 on its hood.

1. 1981 DMC-12 DeLorean (Back to the Future Trilogy)
Ask any movie buffs about the most popular car movie and the DeLorean will most likely be on the top of their list. Without the DeLorean, time travel will not be possible. With its unique quirky design and limited production run the car has become the dream vehicle of many sci-fi fans.
